Dr. Aaron Best, a 1991 graduate of Johnson Creek High School, has been named the Johnson Creek Education Foundation 2019 Distinguished Alumnus.
Following graduation, Aaron attended UW-Stevens Point and received his BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. After graduation, he worked one year at Marshfield Clinic Center for Medical Genetics. Aaron then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine, Greneda, West Indies. He graduated medical school in 2001 and then completed his internship and residency in general internal medicine at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. After residency, Aaron practiced primary care internal medicine at the Dean Clinic in Janesville from 2004 through 2013. During his time in Janesville, Aaron volunteered at HealthNet of Rock County as well as served on the Rock County Board of Health.
In 2013 Aaron moved to Austin, Texas and joined Hospital Internists of Texas where he continues to practice hospital medicine as well as Tele-medicine.
Aaron belongs to the American College of Physicians and is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Becky, and three sons Nathaniel, Matthew, and Caius.
