Teschner Motl Scholarship
Bernie and Chris both graduated from Johnson Creek High School. Bernie became a licensed master plumber owning his own plumbing and heating business. The Motl family owned plumbing and heating businesses in Johnson Creek from 1947 thru 2016. Chris received a Joe Davies
scholarship which enabled her to attend UW Madison. She graduated with a BS degree majoring in Textiles and Clothing Retailing. She worked as a clothing buyer at Gimbels Midwest and The Milwaukee Coat Company.
Bernie and Chris are both grateful for opportunities provided to them and wish to help a Johnson Creek graduate receive the education needed for a rewarding career.
The Teschner / Motl Scholarship is intended for graduating seniors or former graduates of Johnson Creek High School. Their focus of study must be in the trades or agriculture-related studies. This $2,500 scholarship is for two or four year degrees, certificates or license requirements.
Criteria
- A cumulative 3.0 grade point average or better including all high school classes completed through first semester of their senior year
- Must have attended a minimum of four consecutive semesters at Johnson Creek High School
- Must have two letters of recommendation outside of family members that can talk about the qualities you exhibit
- Complete and fill out the reference form
