Ron Roehl has been named the Johnson Creek Education Foundation’s 2015 Distinguished Alumnus. The award will be presented at Johnson Creek High School graduation on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 P.M. Ron attended Johnson Creek Schools from first grade thru high school. He lettered in track for 2 years, was on the wrestling team and served as class President during his junior and senior years. Ron graduated early, (first semester) in January 1985 and went on to attend Waukesha County Technical Institute for Electronics.
Over the next thirty years, Ron held a variety of positions which would lead him to where he is today…the owner of three companies which incorporate his wide range of talents and interests. He worked for 13 years at RTE (Cooper Power Systems) in Waukesha where he had various responsibilities in the company. From there he worked for a Japanese Machine Tool Distributor in Milwaukee and designed/programmed automated manufacturing cells. Then, in September of 2000, Ron started his own company, CNC Solutions. CNC Solutions’ core business is electrical and mechanical systems integration, robotics and automation for a variety of OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer, defined as a company whose products are used as components in another company's product.) and automotive companies in North America. In February 2013 he and his wife, Patrice, started Indgrave, LLC. The company specializes in Industrial and Commercial Laser Engraving. In 2014 Ron founded RJ Roehl Investments. He purchased property in Johnson Creek and moved CNC Solutions from Watertown to Grell Lane in Johnson Creek.
Ron’s enthusiasm for his profession and willingness to share his knowledge and expertise with students is apparent by his involvement with students in several local high schools. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Watertown High School Skills USA Partnership Team. He also advises the Fort Atkinson and Jefferson High School Tech Ed programs. He serves on the Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology Advisory Committee at MATC in Madison. In recognition of these contributions Ron received a "Business Friends of Education" Award by the Wisconsin
Department of Public Instruction in April of 2012 during the 76TH Annual Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education Conference. Additionally, Ron serves as a mentor for High School Capstone projects, sponsors Electrathon/Super Mileage and Battlebots. He serves as an advisor on the Madison Regional Economic Partnership Business Education Collaborative. Just recently Ron was a guest speaker and panelist at the MadRep/Urban League Summit in Madison.
Ron carves out time each year to pursue other passions, such as mountain alpine and glacier climbing. Ron also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hunting, and fishing. Ron and his wife Patrice reside in Watertown. Ron has two sons: Cory, who graduated from UW-Stout for Industrial Design, and Cameron, who graduated from the Art Institute in Minnesota for 3D Technical Art.
