Baseball Program for Boys and Girls

Spring/Summer 2025 Baseball season

The season runs mid-May through mid-July.  Games begin the last week of May until Mid-July. The end-of-season tournaments will be held July 25 and 26 for those teams that qualify. Most games are held on weeknights after 6:00 pm, with a few Saturday games scheduled against other area communities in the Jefferson County Youth Baseball League. 

The deadline to register for JC REC baseball is March 10, 2025. Registrations received after March 10, will be wait-listed and not guaranteed a spot.

Players should register in their age division.  Divisions are based on age of child on or before the June 1st cutoff date.  Exceptions may be made by contacting Jake Johnson at jcrec@johnsoncreekschools.org

• T-Ball- Grades 5K-1, Age 4-5-6 as of June 1, 2025. The cost is $35.
• Jr Pee Wee- Grades 1-2-3, Age 6-7-8 as of June 1, 2025. The cost is $50.
• Pee Wee- Grades 3-4-5, Age 8-9-10 as of June 1, 2025. The cost is $85.
• Little League- Grades 5-6-7, Age 10-11-12 as of June 1, 2025. The cost is $100.
• Pony League- Grades 7-8-9,  Age 13-14-15 as of June 1, 2025. The cost is $100.

Practices will be set by volunteer coaches. Teams will practice here in Johnson Creek but will compete against surrounding communities either at home or away each week. Parent Transportation is required. 

All players must provide their own batting helmet. Athletes should not be sharing helmets.  All bats in Jr Pee Wee, Pee Wee and Little League need to be USA bats. Pony League bats are BBCOR (-3).
****All players are expected to be at all Rec Activity practices, but when circumstances prevent them from attending they are asked to communicate with their coach.
Volunteer opportunities are available for our youth baseball programs. Coaches are needed at all levels. If you are interested, please fill out the Volunteer Coach Registration Form at the end of your child's online registration.

Girls Softball Program

Girls age 5 and older, are eligible to participate in our summer softball program. Games are scheduled against other area communities in the Windmill Travel League, which is recreation based. The league will teach the participants the game of softball through fun and effective drills on hitting, pitching, and defense. Along with games, there is an end-of-season tournament.  Practices are set by our volunteer coaches.

Area communities participating in the program include, but are not limited to:  Lake Mills, Watertown, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Farmington.  

Games are held by age group at various parks. ** A player's age as of August 31, 2024, determines the age group in which the player is eligible to play.

Fees include: Visor, jersey, EOY tournament entry and t-shirt.

U8 Machine Pitch:  Fee-$65.00

U8- Grades 1-2-3, Ages 5-8 play single machine pitch games on Wednesday evenings.

Live Pitch:  Fee-$85.00

• We also offer our U8 Grades 2-3, Ages 7-8, an opportunity to play single live pitch games in the U8 age group.  Rules are modified to suit the younger player.  Games are also on Wednesday evenings.
• U10- Grades 3-4, Ages 9-10 play Double-headers on Monday evenings.
• U12- Grades 5-6, Ages 11-12 play Double-headers on Tuesday evenings.
• U14- grades 7-8, Ages 13-14 play Double-headers on Thursday evenings.
